The New Diet Pill From Dr. Oz Show
Is Your Garcinia Cambogia Effective?
How To Pick A Garcinia Cambogia Extract That Works
And Get It At A Great Price
ConsumerReview doesn’t often review Since its first feature on the Dr. Oz show, supplement manufacturers have been crawling out of the woodwork to create their ‘version’ of
We decided it was time to analyze them ourselves to find out which products were sub-par, which were flat-out lying about what was even in their pills, and which, if any, might actually be worth a try.
As we rounded up all of the big brands in the industry, we could see straight off the bat which companies were only there to make a quick buck.
- One thing we found was that many manufacturers add calcium into their supplement, which in fact reduces the effectiveness of HCA, the main compound in garcinia cambogia that blocks fat.
- In addition, we found that most companies who claim to have 60% HCA actually have much less. This is disheartening and makes it difficult for the consumer to know what manufacturers are lying and which are telling the truth.
It’s hard to believe, but most companies slap on a label that says ‘Garcinia Cambogia’, often without even mentioning how much HCA extract is in each pill or without actually including the amount they claim.

What Did We Research?
With hundreds of manufacturers out there, we wanted to figure out what to look for and how to overcome our concerns regarding diet products. We started the process by making a list of the main concerns we have over buying a good Garcinia Cambogia product.
- It’s not going to be effective. The truth is, there are a lot of products that don’t work at all. Typically, this is because they don’t contain the right ingredients or the right proportions. A lot of interested consumers don’t realize how exact a science creating an effective supplement really is.
- It’s going to be too expensive to afford. As we conducted our research, we found that a lot of companies sell Garcinia Cambogia for $100 or more! Who wants to risk that kind of money on what could just be snake oil salesmanship?
- The company I buy from might just be exploiting another fad. How can you tell when a manufacturer is just trying to cash in on the latest diet? Most of those companies are all gimmick and no substance. How do you know that the company you choose to buy from is giving you the real deal?
So, how can you identify the legitimate products through all the smoke? There are a few key factors to look for that can all but guarantee the product is genuine.
1. Third Party Monitoring: Independent monitoring companies track each company’s reputation and customer satisfaction. One of the most important qualities for a supplement manufacturer is their reputation. Look for a company with a solid reputation backed by third party monitoring.
2. Risk Free Money Back Guarantee: Go with a company that guarantees their product and offers your money back
if you aren’t satisfied. If the company is not willing to put their
money where their mouth is, that means they don’t believe in their own
product.
3. Third Party Testing: Different then third party monitoring, third-party testing
verifies the quality of each company’s products. Third part testing is
really expensive for manufacturers, since it can actually disqualify
entire shipments of pills. But when companies don’t have independent
quality control, there is no guarantee that their products are what they
claim to be.
Garcinia Cambogia Brands ResearchYour time and money is valuable and we don’t want you to waste either one. So we did the research on most of the top Garcinia Cambogia products available.
We studied each product to determine which consistently had not only the right ingredients, but also the right proportions. We disqualified the ones with unnecessary, synthetic fillers and those whose contents differed drastically from pill to pill.
But we didn’t stop there. After all, numbers and percentages are only part of the story. We went on to seek out real customers who had used the products we tested. We asked them for testimonials and compared them with our notes, and then compiled this information to give you a list of the best products on the market.
What our Research Uncovered
A good Garcinia Cambogia extract should contain 60% HCA, a 1,600mg daily dose, and no additional ingredients other than a small portion of potassium to help with HCA absorption.
Most brands did not pass the above criteria.
Some of the Garcinia Cambogia companies included the right ingredients, but had too little HCA, which is the key compound in Garcinia Cambogia. They use much less than what was used in the clinical studies that led to fat loss. Other companies filled their supplements with cheap fillers, binders, and other synthetic ingredients. Almost all of them avoided quality control testing.
The brands we did pick, we stand by. We are confident that these products can help you achieve your goals.
Our Garcinia Cambogia Top Pick:
We are excited about our final pick and we think you’ll agree. This company has a solid reputation, a high quality product, third party monitoring and testing. It also has a solid return policy and stands by its products.

#1 Top Pick
If you want to try Garcinia Cambogia, then Research Verified
should be your first choice. If any Garcinia supplement is going to
work for you, this is it. |

#2 Pick
This product is made by a company called LifeExtension. They have a
pretty impressive and informative website on the product, and they are
offering 100% Pure Garcinia Cambogia. However, there is one very
important category in which they fall short – the recommended daily
amount. With this product, you will receive only 1500mg per day, as
opposed to the recommended dosage of 1600mg. |

#3 Pick
Falling just short of our number two selection is NutriGold Garcinia
Cambogia Gold. This product contains Pure Garcinia Cambogia, without
fillers or binders that could dilute the strength of the product.
However, it does have a slight amount of calcium, which is known to work
against the effect of HCA. | ||

I Want To Be Healthy
This is a great machine, great concept to go along with it. Great way to get healthy, but one of the more expensive ways. Unfortunately, the juicer price wasn't the problem. The fact that you have to spend $150 in fruits and veggies for juice to last all week. Then I looked through the 6 week turn around plan, you would have to spend approximately $300 a week, and that's just for one person. Why is it so expensive to eat healthy? Is this another way the government wants to control us? By keeping us over weight and unhealthy? So I've been doing some research about being healthy and what things we need to do to get there. I have other articles on this site about probiotics. Come to find out that there are a lot of things that make us unhealthy that we thought were okay.
I am coming up with a plan to eat healthy without costing a whole lot more than what I already spend. Fresh fruits and vegetables are very important to your daily diet. So are things high in protein like chicken and fish.
noun
1.
food and drink considered in terms of its qualities, composition, and its effects on health: Milk is a wholesome article of diet.
2.
a particular selection of food, especially as designed or prescribed to improve a person's physical condition or to prevent or treat a disease: a diet low in sugar.
3.
such a selection or a limitation on the amount a person eats for reducing weight: No pie for me, I'm on a diet.
4.
the foods eaten, as by a particular person or group: The native diet consists of fish and fruit.
5.
food or feed habitually eaten or provided: The rabbits were fed a diet of carrots and lettuce.
Even if all you eat is McDonald's, that is considered a fast food diet, a diet that can eventually kill you.
Although a lot of your fast food restaurants do have healthier ways to eat now, it really depends on us if we make the right choices. I really love Wendy's salads. So, it is possible to eat healthy when you go out to restaurants. What you should stay away from is bread, sugar, artificial sweeteners, soda, pasta, and potatoes. I found out that sweet potatoes are good for you. I've also found an all natural sweetener that has 0 calories, doesn't cause tumors, and helps lower blood sugar called Stevia. Dr. Oz said it would be better to use regular sugar opposed to artificial sweetener. In which both are bad for diabetics. I also found out that the carbonation is soda expands the stomach and make you eat more.
When it comes to probiotics, it gets a little more difficult. Like everyone thinks that yogurt is the way to go, but if it is pasteurized, all the good bacteria is dead, and it doesn't have the effect you are looking for.
The foods I just listed to stay away from, is what feeds the bad bacteria, and can cause a lot of health problems. There are probiotic foods like sauerkraut, buttermilk, some cereals, kefir (fermented milk), green olives and more. You can look at my other two articles about probiotics.
Kefir, keefir, or kephir (/kəˈfɪər/ kə-FEER),[1] alternatively Kewra, talai, mudu kekiya, milk kefir, or búlgaros, is a fermented milk drink made with kefir "grains" (a yeast/bacterial fermentation starter) and has its origins in the north Caucasus Mountains.[citation needed] It is prepared by inoculating cow, goat, or sheep milk with kefir grains. Traditional kefir was made in skin bags that were hung near a doorway; the bag would be knocked by anyone passing through the doorway to help keep the milk and kefir grains well mixed.[2]
So, I have been eating a lot of salads, but making different kinds so that I don't get bored with eating the same thing all the time. Sometimes I make me a chef salad, sometimes a grilled chicken salad, or one of my favorites, grapes and tuna salad. Here is my recipe for the grape/tuna salad.
I use an iceberg/romaine salad mix, and I add fresh spinach leaves to the mix. I cut up cucumber, cream cheese, and red/black seedless grapes. I mix the tuna fish with mayo. I put ranch dressing on the salad, then put the tuna on top. It was one of the best salads I've ever had.
I've also been doing smoothies. I get the bags of frozen fruit, the Greek Cobat plain yogurt, about a half a cup of water, and some stevia. You can add some protein powder, and it becomes a meal. I found a great protein powder that only has 2 carbs and less than 1 gram of sugar and it's sweetened with stevia. This is the best protein powder I've ever had, it's called Gladiator, I found it at Smoothie King.
Well, in order to eat healthy without going overboard on your grocery bill, you need to get fresh/frozen fruit, dark green fresh/frozen vegetables (stay away from corn and peas), stevia is a must if you are going to stay away from sugar, and lean meats (if you can't afford lean meats, make sure you drain the grease off), yogurt (mentioned above), sour cream is okay, half n half is better for your coffee and cooking (only 1 gram of sugar and 1 gram of carbs), get some probioticss (either by whole foods or by pills), and those snack bars like Fiber One helps between meals (helps keep you off the cake and candy), and oh yeah, water, need to drink mineral water and lots of it. The more you drink, the more you shrink.

More On Probiotics
Probiotics - Are they really the Natural solution
to IBS and Constipation?
to IBS and Constipation?
By, Karen Weathers![]() Senior Editor Consumers Guides Health Advice Karen@ConsumersGuides.com |
Why are more and more doctors saying Probiotics are the solution to IBS and Constipation?
It has to do with the "Glut Flora" or the "Good Bacteria" in our digestive tracks. Processed foods are destroying this good bacteria and this wreaks havoc on our ability to properly digest and have regular bowl movements. An imbalance in Gut Flora first leads to IBS and Constipation and then much more. Bad bacteria in our stomachs can affect everything from our appearance, to our immune system to even our mood. Yes, you heard me correctly, if your gut flora is out of balance new studies are showing that everything else in your body becomes affected. They show this imbalance leads to skin not appearing as radiant and healthy, and may be more prone to acne, to a weaker immune system, to mood changes that may cause stress, anxiety, and depression-related behavior. |
![]() |
| Your intestines are filled with beneficial bacteria, called probiotics. Unfortunately, processed foods and chemicals can kill these helpful microbes off, allowing "bad" bacteria to flourish and causing digestion issues, reducing your immune response, and creating skin problems. |
Why is this?
The truth is, Doctors still do not know why an unhealthy
gut can lead to so many more health problems.. All they know is there
has been multiple clinical clinical studies showing people with healthy
gut bacteria lead a much healthier life.
How do you get your gut bacteria back on track?
Probiotics. Certain strains of probiotics
can rebalance your gut bacteria and improve not only your digestion,
but also everything talked about above. But the question is - which one
do you use?
The sad fact of the matter is, all probiotics are not
created equal. Due to differences in the manufacturing and storage of
probiotics, there are several issues that can arise which affect their
quality:
-
Probiotics can be shipped and stored poorly, leading to most of the cultures being dead by the time they're consumed
-
Products can be misleadingly labeled, claiming way more colony-forming units (CFUs) than what's actually in the capsules
-
They only have one or two probiotic strains inside, limiting their effectiveness considerably
-
They don't contain nearly enough CFUs to make a difference
If you didn't see any results from
your probiotic, it's likely that the product you chose suffered from at
least one of those problems above. Unfortunately, products like this
litter the market, affecting the reputations of those high-quality
probiotics that actually deliver on their promises.
The truth is, research is increasingly
demonstrating that probiotics play a tremendous role in our overall
health. Everything from your body fat percentage, to your brain activity
can be positively affected by probiotics- provided you pick the right
one.
How to Spot a High-Quality Probiotic
One of the problems with figuring out if a probiotic will back up
its claims is that they're nearly impossible for you to prove yourself.
After all, you likely don't have the time or the patience to crack open
a pill and count billions of CFUs, much less determine how many are
still alive.
The good news is that other people
have already done that work for you. Reputable manufacturers send their
products to independent labs for verification, so that you can be
assured of getting what you're paying for.
This third-party verification is
essential when evaluating probiotics, as it's the only way of knowing
for sure what's in each pill. Otherwise, you could find yourself paying
for dead cultures, miniscule amounts of bacteria, or even harmful
fillers and binders.
Which Probiotic Is Best?
We analyzed several of the leading probiotics ,
checking them for CFU count, third-party verification, value, and
effectiveness. As it turned out, there were plenty of "top" products
that failed to deliver on their claims.
One probiotic, though, stood out above
all the rest, scoring highly on every test. It had the most CFUs for
the best price, and an iron-clad third-party verification to back
everything up. It's the probiotic we feel most comfortable recommending,
and a no-brainer pick for our Top Choice Gold Award. If you're looking
for the best probiotic on the market, this is the one to use.
Our Top Picks:

#1: Keybiotics From Whole Body Research
If you want the most effective probiotic supplement on the market, this is the one to take.

Rating:
We simply couldn't find a probiotic
with more CFUs, more probiotic strains, or more live cultures. And,
thanks to Whole Body Research's extensive 3rd-party verification
process, you know you'll actually get what the label promises.
At this time, we've found that the best way to get Keybiotics is to order directly from the Whole Body Research website.
You can check it out with the link
below. Give it a try and let us know how it works for you. We know you
won't be disappointed.
#2: New Chapter Probiotic All-Flora
The consensus second place pick was
New Chapter Probiotic All-Flora. This is a popular product, but it
simply didn't pack enough punch to match up with Keybiotics.
The fact that this product only
contains 9 billion CFUs, combined with its need for refrigeration, make
it a distant second to the Keybiotics.
If you're willing to put up with a
weaker product that requires more hassle, then this represents a decent
option.. However, we can't justify ranking it any higher than #2 on this
list.
#3: GNC Ultra 25 Probiotic Complex with Enzymes
Rounding out the top three was GNC
Ultra 25 Probiotic Complex with Enzymes. This supplement combines
probiotic strains with enzymes, which can help keep the bacteria healthy
and robust in the digestive tract.
Unfortunately, it only has 25
billion CFUs, which makes it considerably weaker than our #1 product. In
addition, it only has 4 strains, less than a third of what other
quality probiotics have.
So why did we rank it #3, behind a
probiotic with only 9 billion CFUs? One word: value. This is one of the
more expensive probiotics on the market, and frankly, we think you
should get more for your money.
There are good probiotics in these
pills, but not enough to make a huge difference. That, combined with the
high price, make GNC's a distant third.
P.S. While Whole Body Research's Keybiotics
is the best probiotic we've found, we would still love to hear about
any others you've tried. If you have had a great experience of your own,
please send me an email at Karen@ConsumersGuides.com with the details. We'll check it out and if it looks good, we'll post it here.
Sincerely,
Karen Weathers

What You Don't Know Can Kill You
A
parasite that uses your body as it's personal feeding ground, taking
over first your stomach, then your entire G.I. tract, forcing you to
crave the foods it wants... while slowly destroying your body from the
inside out
WARNING: the
information I'm about to share with you is controversial, because this
parasite comes from the most unlikely place –
Your Food Supply
You see, unlike fat, this new flavor additive was actually ADDICTING...
It goes by many different names, but you may know it best as
Refined Sugar
A 2012 study by Dr. Robert Lustig of the University Of California, San Francisco revealed that sugar is just as addictive to human brain as COCAINE, setting off the same dopamine triggers and forcing us to crave more and more of it. So it was only natural that humans would begin to consume the new sugared products at a feverish rate
In 1965, the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act
began requiring their products to be honestly and informatively
labeled. By this time the public wasn't so hot on sugar any more, but no
matter.
The conglomerates simply HID the sugar by putting it into new forms, and creating new names
This way, people wouldn't see the word "sugar" on a food label... but it could still be hiding inside. Some names sugar goes by are:
| Agave nectar | |
| Brown rice syrup | |
| High-fructose corn syrup | |
| Dextrose | |
| Evaporated cane juice | |
| Glucose | |
| Lactose | |
| Malt syrup | |
| Molasses | |
| Sucrose |
Another classic example is when the sugar pushers began putting the word “natural” into all of their advertising. “Made from natural ingredients” became their slogan... but all refined sugars are made from natural ingredients. So is cocaine and heroin.
What is it?
It's the
consequence of the unnatural elements we've been exposed to... and the
deep, dark secret the food conglomerates are right now, as we speak,
spending millions of dollars to try and sweep under the rug
They have some help from the killer itself, because this disease takes over your body from the INSIDE.
Most never even know it is there... until it's too late.
It's name is Candida
![]() |
Candida is a a type of fungi. A single-celled member of the yeast family
Where did it come from? Was it carried over on a boat from Africa? Or did it come from livestock?
Actually, no.
Candida is a natural resident of your digestive track, along with 25 trillion other bacteria, some good, and some bad
So long as the
balance stays in order – which scientists now say is 80% good bacteria
to 20% bad, your digestive and immune systems will continue to function
normally
But here's where's the problem starts:
Candida is is a member of the yeast family
… and do you know what yeast like to eat?
Yep, you guessed.
Refined Sugars. Artificial Sweeteners. And Preservatives.
All of the things that have just been added to your food supply in just the last 50 or so years.
Maybe you did the experiment back in science class, where you put yeast in a pertri dish, and feed it sugar to get it to grow?
![]() |
That's what's happening in your stomach, RIGHT NOW
Left untreated, it can begin to affect every area of your life
Here is a list
of common Candida symptoms composed by Dr. Mark Hyman, recognized
Candida authority, and best-selling author of, “The Blood Sugar
Solution”:
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
… your chances of having Candida Overgrowth are greatly increased
So now, let's talk about how to fix it
Here's the good news – to start feeling better, you don't have to necessarily get rid of all of the Candida
You just need to balance them out
As I mentioned before, your gut is also home to a lot of good bacteria.
To start feeling your best, you just need to get to the 80/20 balance:
80% good bacteria
20% bad bacteria
There are 2 ways to do this:
The first is going on a real, all-natural diet
That means completely eliminating all processed foods, refined sugars and carbs, artificial sweeteners, and also white breads
Then supplement your diet with foods that are high in a special kind of GOOD BACTERIA, called, “Probiotics”
Probiotics are clusters of good bacteria, that, like a powerful ARMY, go into your stomach and form colonies that far outnumber the Candida
Unfortunately, yogurts today are no longer a good source of probiotics
They're
pasteurized, which kills off most of the good bacteria, not too mention
they usually contain... you guessed... TONS of added of sugar
This is especially true with frozen yogurt.
Foods that are high in Probiotics include sauerkraut, kefirs, olives, and fermented vegetables
